“Ke na le toro” (“I have a dream to unite people through the power of music”)

A conversation with the queen mother of the Royal Bafokeng Nation, Mmemogolo Seremane Molotlegi, led to a meeting where it was decided to record a CD at the Artéma Recording Studio.

The goal of the CD project was to create a fundraising mechanism to raise money for the Thuto Thebe Educational Trust which helps underprivileged scholars in rural areas with their basic scholastic expenses.

The CD was recorded in August and released in October 2010 during the annual memorial lecture held by the queen in remembrance of her late husband and son. All funds generated by the CD sales are paid directly to the Thuto Thebe Educational Fund.

Artéma shared its expertise and infrastructure for this cause and also covered the direct production cost of the CD.
